Limited License Legal Technicians in Washington

A Limited License Legal Technician (LLLT) is a person licensed to practice certain types of law in Washington State, including most family law matters. They are not lawyers, but they are highly trained in family law issues such as custody, divorce, parenting plans, and child support.

LLLT’s are sort of like a like a licensed paralegal, except they are formally trained and can open their own office and give legal advice. Paralegals cannot open their own office and cannot give legal advice even if they work for a lawyer.

Angeles Mediation often refers people to LLLT’s to write up the paperwork that needs to be filed in court. This is a cost effective method if you need help writing up court documents.
